Martindale Abrasion and Pilling Tester was developed primarily to assess abrasion resistance of woven worsted wool fabrics. It can also be used to determine the wool fabric pilling performance under slight pressure. Not available in thickness of more than 3mm of wool fabric. The following items are attention tips of use Martindale Abrasion and Pilling Tester:
1. The abrasion fabric cannot be used repeatedly during the test, and each time a test is completed, abrasion fabric needs to be replaced.
2. Wool felt can be used repeatedly. Need to be replaced if the surface is worn or contaminated, it can be used on both sides.
3. Before doing insole abrasion tester, should be removed the surface cloth of sample first then doing Martindale Abrasion and Pilling testing.
4. After the test is completed, the surface of the sample has an abnormal phenomenon such as abrasion, yarn breakage, fluffing or serious pilling, and serious wear, then it is judged as unqualified.
5. When preparing samples, special attention to cut the edges and avoid hairiness, so as not to cause unnecessary loss of quality and appearance.
