Preparation method of the ICI Mace Snag Tester test sample

2021-07-23 17:42:35

1) Before the ICI Mace Snag Tester experiment, first place a sufficiently large fabric sample to be tested in a temperature of 20 ± 2 ° C and a relative humidity of 60% ± 2% for 24 hours.

2) From the fabric to be tested, parallel warp at a distance of 1/10 of the width, and cut out two pieces of samples with a size of 200mm × 330mm in the weft direction without damage or defects.

3) At the middle of the long side of the reverse side of the cut sample, the two sides are called the good mark line (elastic fabric 270mm, non-elastic fabric 280mm), and then fold inwards facing inward. The specimen is turned over with the front side facing out. If the sample sleeve is too loose or too tight on the drum, the length can be appropriately reduced or increased to make it moderately tight.

4) Four pieces of cylindrical samples were respectively placed on the wool felt tube of the rotating drum, so that the seam edges thereof were spread to both sides, and the seam was smooth. Then fix one end of the sample with a rubber ring, unfold all creases to round the surface of the sample, and then fix the other end of the sample with another rubber ring.
