ICI mace snag tester applies to rapid determine the snag resistance of fabric, (pull yarn loops from fabric). And suitable for woven and knitted fabrics made by textured yarn, non-textured yarn, and spun yarn, etc.

1. Items to be confirmed before operation:

1) Confirm whether the power supply meets the requirements。

2）Whether the surface of the sample is round。

3）Put the nail hammer around the guide rod and gently place it on the surface of the sample. Use a distance test gauge to measure whether the distance between the guide rod and the hammer is 45mm.

2. Start testing

1) Turn on the power switch of Mace Snagging Tester.

2) Clear the counter to zero and set the number of tests to 600.

3) Press the START button to start the test

4) The machine stops automatically after reaching the number of tests

5) Turn off the power of the China ICI Snagging Equipment, carefully remove the hammer and place it in the semi-circular nail hammer holder, and remove the sample.

6) After the sample is removed, it shall be left for at least 4 hours before being rated.

Note:The wool felt tube is generally used for 200 hours or the surface becomes rough, and small holes and severe wear should be replaced.

3. Results determination and recording

1) Judgment of results: The test results must be compared with the standard rating chart in the rating box:

Calculate the average value of the wire level of the warp and weft samples to the nearest half level

2) Testing report

The test report should include the following：
Reference standards and test methods.
Each name of test sample, variety, specification, raw material.
Model and speed of the instrument used.
Record the number of test samples and the number of testers.
Record test date.
Record the final test results, that is, the average hook level in the warp and weft directions.
Detailed records of any operations that violate test procedures.
